They're all beautiful. I like "knarly" knotted trees. And, of course, I want something I can't grow here!

That was a fun picture trip! Love the oak tree one. We have Coast Live Oak trees here in California and no one from any other state would ever think they are an oak tree relative. The leaves are small with a toothed end and are evergreen.
How much fun to see all the different trees!!
you know, the interesting thing is that without their leaves they all kinda look alike. other than the pear and the poplar it's hard to tell one from another...and yet they look so very different in spring.
there's a lesson there somewher.....
My favorite tree is the oak tree (Coastal Life Oak - in particular *s*) A close second is an apricot tree.
I had to come back and tell you that when I asked my 6 year old son what his favorite "winter" tree was he said - the one that you get heisse maroni's from (hot roasted nuts). He loves to get them on the street corner and we put them in our mittens to warm up our fingers - and they make a tasty treat too! Cheers! Evelyn
