Well, it's 9:30 in the morning here and look what the thermometer reads outside:
And this is what it reads inside:
Notice it's still on "cool" mode?
Wow. Time to turn the heat on. I guess it is autumn, isn't it?
And the high tomorrow is supposed to be 59 degrees, with a 70% chance of badly needed rain. Hallelujah!
We decided not to go to the beach after all, what with the lack of gas being so worrisome--don't want to get stuck somewhere. And the weather for that area isn't looking very appealing, so it will be, as Libby puts it, a "stay-cation."
Hmmm, I've got 2 more weeks of vacation, the promise of rain and a room full of fabric.
Does it get any better?
Reminder to self: Christmas is 3 months from today!

it's 60 here too! but it's 9am, not 9:30 teeheehee.
yes I finished the yoyos, but the heads are becoming a real pain in the buttola!
now, get back over here and leave a guess for Thesaurus Thursday! I only had TWO players last week, and they were both NEW!
Vacation sounds like a little slice of heaven. I hope it's WONDERFUL!
While I don't relish the idea of turning on the heat, I do wish our temps would be more like yours *s*
Where do you go to the beach in your area? When we lived in NC we loved the beaches all along from Emerald City (is that really the name, I can't remember now) to Wilmington. The warm Atlantic water was such a nice surprise after a lifetime of the bone chilling Pacific *s*
i'm loving that cool fall feeling around here too. you're on vacation...what fun...i'll be looking for some good eye candy soon, right?
A fall vacation is wonderful sometimes. Gorgeous days, cool nights.
Ahhh... a staycation sounds heavenly. :)
Every time I visit your blog I want a sewing machine. I really think that's what I'm asking for for Christmas.
Sounds wonderful!
Vacation time is a little slice of heaven!

It was warmer here than at your house--I know it was in the 80's today. And last night at midnite I checked the outside thermometer--66 degrees!
Stephanie, I liked your all-over quilting, especially the butterfly. Around here, we have not turned on the heat. I don't know if we usually do by now, but I am planning to wait at least until October. Looks like we can make it through the weekend, at least!!

We are still on cool here, too trying to keep the filtered air as long as posssible...allergies, you know and no frost yet in my corner of blogland!
Rain and a room full of projects/fabrics and you can indulge at any time?! What a vacation! and very economical :)
Enjoy your days :)
Stephanie,
Have you checked out my scrapbook on my blog? It is really cute and it helps me journal the progress of one of my shops many charity quilts.

You just had to remind us that Xmas is only 3 months away, lol. Oh, well, why should I be ahead this year in my Xmas preparations, every year I get further and further behind. Love your picture in the right hand corner, it is so serene.
I love the cooler weather........might have something to do with those pesky hot flashes I keep having!!!!
Thanks for the reminder about Christmas, I have to have a sort out what I have bought, and what I have to buy.
Gill
